if it's acrylic paint, there is a special thinners you can buy to reduce the overspray, try increasing the amount of thinners in the paint mix.

Replied on the new forum.. don't go respraying the roof again! You don't need to.. it just needs to be sanded and buffed out right...

the last few layers of paint should have more and more thinners in it, until the last coat is almost all thinners, maybe 90% thinners, 10% paint. This will probalby fix your roof properly.
