Took the adjustable boost gauge out today and ran the line directly back into the wastegate...
At 5500 rpm i got 10psi in 3rd gear.. Looking better...

That sounds fair. My 3S makes 10psi at ~4500 with a .58 turbine TO4S.

So did you put a smaller rear hosuing on your T04S turbo Joshstix?

No it was part of a HKS kit for the 3S that came with a .58 housing. I don't know if it's the original housing because I bought it used.

Well i found out why the lag was so bad! They sold me the wrong turbo! The rear housing actually had a rear housing A/R of 1.15!!
Sold it yesterday... Now what do i do.. Go out an buy a T70???
Any reccomendations on turbos, within a realistic price range... $1600 for a BB Garrett is a bit too much for me..

Sold the T04S off to a guy in Perth with a 1JZ. I've been told that that should spool it up better. Bit like a T70 on 1G i would imagine. Bought myself a Garrett T04E instead today. 0.63 A/R Rear housing, and 0.5 front housing.
Should have some mid range now..
