help on engine conversion Wed, 09 November 2005 16:17 Go to next message
I have a KE30 with no engine. I want to put 4AGE engine in it, is it possible. If yes where can I get more info for doing the conversion and would it make a difference if I got a RWD engine instead of getting a FWD and making it to a RWD??

I am in the process of doing this. Have a look at the link in my sig. My conversion is a long way from being finished but it will give you a bit of a guide.

A rwd drive 4age would make the conversion easier. I would suggest also speaking with an engineer about what is required to get the car registered ( that's if you need rego, where is Mahe? ).

Mahe is in Seychelles, which is located in the Indian Ocean. I don't need to worry about registration here.
If I get a RWD 4AGE engine (which cars are they found in??) what else would I need to get/buy to make the conversion successful?
My KE30 has only 2dr I think it is a coupe.

Do you know of any site that holds info on how to do the RWD 4AGE conversion on a KE30 similar to mine?

I've been searching for the past 2 hours and I have still not found, any site containing info about a 4AGE conversion in my specific model. Someone please help me.

it's time to give up now, it is pretty straightforward, but will require some actual work to do in regard to engine mounts, gearbox/tailshaft matching, EFI fuel system etc.

might be hard to find someone to hold your hand, take it to a semi decent mechanic or something.
