Lexens are VN-VQ commos and Apollos are 8x-96 Camrys SV21/VZV21/MCV10/VCV10 - i think).

Toyotas 3VZ-FE (92-96) was orignally a RWD engine. you can tell by that theres a factory oil filter relocation kit to clear the new front engine mount for the FWD set up. somewere abouts the 140kw/5500rpm 280nm/4000-5500rpm mark.

the V series, ive never heard of it, you must be talking about the V6 vienta models?

i know nothing about them, but i know the SVX10 camry, 92-95 ish widebody is also known as the holden apollo

and the lexcen is the VN-VP commodore.

92-96 ish camrys used the 5sfe twin cam 2.2 litre donk in FWD configuration.

as said before lexcen is rebadged holden, apollo is rebadged toyota.

Holden were up shit creek financially in the late 80's so they struck a deal with Toyota for model sharing.
Bit of trivia: in the very early 90's Toyota released about 1500 Hilux 4WD's that were (retrofit) powered by the 3.8Litre Commodore V6 engine.

Yeah the 80's was the time for model sharing big time. Stuff like the Ford Maverick/Nissan Patrol, Nissan Panelvan, Ford Corsair/ Nissan Pintara came out and pretty much all failed.

The lexcen was pretty much pure Holden right from the VN through to VR. Holden has pretty muched tried to purge its histroy on these matters. Toyota has also handed over all spare parts from the lexcen to Holden.

As for the Apollo, I think that lasted from 1988 through to 1994 or so and included the widebody sedans and wagons but no Vienta's.

While were the topic of model sharing, how could we forget the good ole Holden Starfire in the Corona.

*Also I just remembered the Holden Nova, which was a Toyota Corolla, except the badge

i have a 94 Holden Apollo SLX (these went to 96)

its NOT a Vienta but it does have the V6. electric mirrors, and intermittant wipers are the only things carried over from the GS spec Apollo (Vienta specced) accesories and options wise.

A friend of mine has the SV21 (SV20 perhaps) Apollo. It's a 3S-FE, not 5S-FE.

Apollo - Originally Toyota Camry
3SFE for the early models (SV21 shape)
5SFE and 3VZFE for the later models (SXV10 and VCV10)

Nova - Origanlly Toyota Corolla
I suppose, 4A-FE engines, but not sure.

Toyoa Lexcen - Orignally Holden Commodore VN/VP/VR
3.8L Holden V6

Very Happy
