Help with getting loan in Perth Tue, 15 November 2005 07:24 Go to next message
Hi all,

I am having a bitch of a time finding a loan ($5000) to buy a privately owned used car. Having just moved a month ago and started a new job, I am apparently a high-risk applicant. I have applied at all the major banks and a few credit unions with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting $5000? Interest rates don't really matter unless it's an absolutely ludicris rate.

Please Help!

Get a virgin credit card, has a $5000 dollar opening limit and from memory interest free for first 6 months.

Hi Digital , i got a loan for $5k about a month ago now .. maybe a little more

here is my situation when i was looking for the loan

1. Casual Employee with no less than 60hours per fortnite
2. Currently paying off $4k on a crash i had (in my AE82) $50 per month
3. no Loan history nor credit card history

i am with the commonwealth bank with my day-to-day banking so i thought they would be the best bet as they know my banking history.

I walked in with full confidence and pride that i was going to purchase my soarer.

They managed to look up my payment history (via netbanking) and i proved to them i recieve no less than 700 a fortnight. etc etc .

they basically gave me the go ahead in 2 days.

so its a good idea to go with the bank your with to get the loan
