defect list

i got defected on the following items on my hilux,
lowering blocks remove,
comply head lights,
no rear reflectors,
tyres not load rated high enuf,
attach mud flaps,
it says supply receipts of all repairs made, but i can do it all myself any ideas please??

-do your self
-take to place that does inspections (e.g. Safety Cert if in Qld) and get them to provide inspection report noting that the defects listed on defect notice XXX have been recitified
-take paperwork to RTA, Dept Tpt, etc.

Being a Hilux yep not having mud-flaps is defect-able.
I agree with thechuckster, fix all your defects yourself then just have a certified inspection station remove the defect.
Just remember the one I got done for on reflectors.
white = front
amber = side
red = rear
Just get a pack of four stick-ons from K-mart or simular place.

you must have really pissed off the occifer to get done for no reflectors, unless it's obvious you've removed them

dunno about you guys but its illegal to have no mud guards in SA on ANY CAR...
side skirts may count as mud guards though, depends what the compliance place think.s

its got rear mud guards just no flaps,
and the headlight , he couldnt see an australian design logo on them. the officer was actually nice about it( if that makes sense) cos he didnt get teh cops to fine me

We are talking about MUDFLAPS not MUDGUARDS.
Commercial vehicles such as a one ton flat top come under different regulations to cars. So the cops can defect you for not have having MUDFLAPS fitted.
