To his ass so he can make the most of turbulent airflow down there
I assume he means a 16v 4ag so look up T3. They're available off the shelf.

internal pics of the adaptor would be appreciated how nice are the transitions?
oh and btw, what do quad throttle go for these days... in oz....
3000-5000 yen seems cheap to me?
as for MAP signal, a restrictor int he line from the quads, combined with a fuel filter sized cavity (i used a carby fuel filter ) will work wonders on the MAP signal, and doesn't slow it down enough to notice.. think of it as a resistor and capacitor for air....
when the MS guys did testing, they had about 8 or 10 metres of vac line between car and ECU and it made buggerall difference (ie, in a good way)..

ahh i meant how much do the actual quad throtles go for.. i was thinking of picking a few up
as for the restrictor thing... ppl do it different ways..
the idea of the restrictor is to reduce the amount of air that is pulled during each "suck", and also reduce the backflow when the cylinder is not sucking.. it basically just reduces the amplitude of vacuum change.
a very easy way to make a restrictor is to get MIG welding tips... ppl use maybe 0.8 to 1.2mm tips (ie hole size) and the outside is maybe.. 4-5mm diameter? so it can be slipped inline with nirmal vacuum tube
some people run a restrictor between each runner and the chamber. others connect all the ports together and then put the restrictor after the join, so there is only a single restrictor.... i don't know which is best.
some peple also run the restrictor _after_ the chamber...
for me i just had high overlap cam, and the take off point was on the plenum (no quads) so i didn't have a choice.. i just ran 1.2mm restrictor and a Ryco carby fuel filter (which got strange looks as it was incabin )
so basically... you can experiment.. it helps to have realtime datalogging capability on your ECU so you can see changes in the MAP quality. a pack of MIG welding "contact tips" is like $5 for 5 or something, bloody cheap... get maybe 0.8 or 0.9 as a start.. you can always cut them in half and drill out to larger size later...
at first try with lines connected and no chamber...
then with chamber
then with restrictor before chamber
then with restrictor in each line before joining
you can graph what is likely to happen.... each suck is a negative pulse that is kinda sinusoidal for as long as i lasts (which at idle is basically the time the piston is going down, ie 180 crank degrees, or 1/4 of engine cycle)
yar, Megasquirt.. a wealth of EFI info for anyone who wants to learn

The actual throttles are about 1-1.5kg, not much at all. Just ditch the manifold and plenum over in Japan. Ill take a pic of the runners on the T3 units before and after i shape them today too.

Nope, fitting to smallport as usual.
Just the hard edges in the plenum are crap, really need going over with a die grinder, but i have no compressed air atm and the dremel doesnt have a collet large enough.
Ive just cleaned up the edges for now, but will really take to it with the die grinder when i next take them off.

i found the T3 manifold looked quite sexy, and all i did was smooth with some sand paper the tapped thread where it burred into the port..i also had to open up the face of the port on the head to make sure that it didn't have a step-in, the T3 manifold is a little bigger than the standard smallport..port.. i dunno how well it will idle..no body seemed to awnser when i asked the question on a few seperate occasions, so i thought fuck it, i'll just do it and find out the hard way..
