Well I purchased a Supra today and am now part of the elite society of supra owners.
It is an imaculate MA71 1988 supra with a 7m-gte.
Here is the only pic i have.
Already has a cd stacker and 2x 12" subs. Already purchased alarm and turbo timer for it too.
I will update everything about it as soon as i pick her up. (Monday night).
Hope you guys (and gals) like her.
Brett.

10k Had a engine rebuilt 7k ago with o-ringed block and copper head gasket. Has a turbo timer and alarm with pager. Pretty stock otherwise. Boost gauge and value running 8psi boost.

hahah elite group.
welcome to the club. they are great cars. just dont crash it.
i noticed one thing. you said your supra is a 88 but u have the 89+ tail lights and spoiler. nice bonus. im still deciding if i wanna put them on my car. i still like the early model lights though i think the late model spoiler does look better.

yeah you do know this car norbie.
And it is manufactured in the 11/88.
So it is an 88 but really is exactly the same as a 89.
I am very pleased.

Looks nice man!! Well I cant say welcome to the 'elite' society BUT I can say welcome to the 7M society !
I like your ride mate, sounds like you picked up yourself a good deal. Enjoy the extra torquey 7M with the added bonus of the turbno hangin off the side !!

nah it's good cos you know it's been looked after if it's taken to skid pans etc, cos the guys want the best out of their cars not just to thrash it around the neighbour hood.

lol, so thats happened norbie????
lol.
Great brett, i'll se you on thursday night then. A mate of mine just bought a 88 soarer with a rebuilt 7M in it, and it bloody gets up and goes. Manual, so thats a help. I'd be thinking it would be a mid to low 14 second car no probs, so i cant wait to judge what yours would be.
I wanna see you race timbo in his MX6 and see what happens. He got 14.5 @ 100mph flat remember, and its auto too, bloody slow off the mark thats for sure.
Anyway, we'll see.
Cant wait.
Cya

turbokid-------->
Those tail lights and spoilers were released in Japan in 1988.
I just privatly imported my own 1988 3000GT Turbo-A Supra, and it has those tail lights. My rear spoiler also incorporates a stoplight. (cant see from photo's if Helmann's does too.)
I have two more 1988 supra's coming from Japan in March, and they both have the same tail lights and spoiler as shown on Helmann's car.
Helmann---------->
Great looking car. Definatly an example of how good the MA70/71 supra's look if they have been well looked after.
Anyone else that wants Jap spec MA70 import from japan, let me know. I have a Manual 5 speed 2L Twin Turbo 1GGTEU, and a Manual 3L Turbo 7MGTE coming in soon. Both have only 100,000km on them.

Very nice car Helmann
Very nice indeed.
I should be owning a supra before the year is out... if i had more work it would be sooner
Welcome to the group.. I think technically im out of the group.. because my old supra is dead, waiting for the new project car to come along so i can start moving parts around from them and make the new car into my project supra.. blah blah blah.
but im still a member of Supra Owners Intl.
Peace
Katsuchiyo

Its a 1995 TT model. Pretty much stock at the moment. added a car alarm this week. Will probably fit a turbo timer and a new exhaust next week to keep me going for a while. Dont want to do too much with it yet.
