i dont think there is any free play...and both shaft thingyies turn when i turn the centre shaft

what they want to know is if you grab the LHS and RHS axles, how much resistance is there to turn them against each other. ie. grab one axle, turn it clockways, grab the other and turn it anticlockways and note how much effort required to do it. nothing at all to do with the input flange

usually a worn lsd will still be hard to turn the axles in relation to each other. if you have a torque wrench, you can lock one axle up and test the resistance that way. theres prob somewhere on the net where you can find the specs.

mmmmm i dunno if i diid the test thing right cant find any article on it....lock up on side and try turn the centre shaft with wrench??? untill the otehr side turns? well i got about 20nm i think...must be worn?? i dunno anybody know how to do it or am i doin it wrong let me know
