2TG Carb spacers Fri, 18 November 2005 09:34 Go to next message
Hey, im installing a 2TG into one of my toys, now i know the carbs had a spacer plate between the carb and manifold. Was this purely a spacer or did it do other things.. It looks like it also joined 1+2 and 3+4 runners together so that the PCV etc can be plumbed into the 2 holes on the actual carb manifold (the 2 between 1+2 and 3+4 runners)

Am i on the right track here? did it serve any other purpose? previous owner removed to fix clearance issues..

Are you running webers? or Solex'?

I've seen them used. but never used them myself. I always thought there purpose was to do just what you said, and balance both throats of the carbs. And also to aid vaccuum to your brake booster. I run 40mm webers and no spacer and just run the vaccuum line to my booster off #4 intake runner.
