hey guys ive picked up a dellow bellhousing off a freidn, its the holden 308 to supra 5 speed i just want to figure out what 308 it fits so i can wack it onto ebay.
apparently theres a turbo 400 and trimatic or some difference between 308 bellhousing bolt patterns, thanks, jesse

ok. there is a difference in blocks on 308
if the engine is upto and including VL 308 then its a trimatic stud pattern.
if the engine is post VL ie VN onwards then its a turbo stud pattern. if you are able to find out what the engine is out of then you will know what stud pattern the bellhousing is....

just saw the pic. looks like turbo stud pattern to me....
(i know this cause i just pulled a 308 out of a VN at work on thursday)

it was a carbi engine, in a LX torana, wasnt oringinally in that car though and owner isnt sure which car the engine actually came from

That is incorrect. There is a mixture of 308 trimatic and turbo patterns from the engines inception up until mid VK when the engine capacity changed to 304 Cu.in. Can't help you on the identification though.
