1998 Camry Radio Removal Wed, 23 November 2005 04:04 Go to next message
Hi Guys, just wondering if you could tell me how to remove the radio from a 1998 Camry. the panel surrounding the radio is covered by the above panel, which goes all the way up and around the instrument cluster. Do i have to remove it all. Are there any hidden screws or tricks.

Thanks in advance.

this is the for sale section dude

i dont know shit about camrys but ill try to help anyway.
you almost certainly do not have to take the dash off. there will probably be hidden screws. look for screws going upwards indo the dash above the AC and take out the coin tray and look behind there. also you may need to pull the little knobs off the AC levers (i had to do this in my gf's 97 corolla).

if this doesnt help i recommend going to repco and buying a haynes workshop manual. it will show you how, and it will definately be handy to have at some point in the future anyway.

Park your car in a dark/dodgy area at 3am.

someone will break in your car and remove it for you

wrong section but toymod guys are alwasy willing to help
Well pretty much take the ashtray and all the plugs (switches) from your aircond out. Just pull it with abit of force.
Then the surrounding should just pop out with a little force. Use a really thin flat head screw drive or something.
then it shold just pop out.
