Installing MV autos shift box Thu, 24 November 2005 14:23 Go to next message
Did a search and found nothing.

Has anyone on here installed one?

I have found the 1jz auto wiring diagram here. http://www.1jz-gte.us/documents/SubDocs1/1JZWiring ECT.pdf

Except this is going to an ECT. Mine from a jzx90 chaser goes straight to the regular ECU. So anyway on page 5 there is the bit about the gear selection wires. I think I have found the A plug that is round with 6 wires in it but the colours are wrong. I am 99% sure that this is the plug that I have to use but I just need that bit of confirmation before I go chopping things Smile

I need to get the L, 2 and D wires from there.

Still need to find OD wire which looks to be at K on the diagram but I couldn't see any plugs that look like that.

Then I have to find Solenoid A and Solenoid B which I have no clue what they are on the wiring diagram as I thought the solenoids were used to change the gears so that would be L,2,D etc.

So if anyone can help me on this, that would be great.

Chris

I don't know the wire colours from the top of my head, but you can always do what I did - spend 10 minutes with a mulletmeter and some clip leads, working out which wires are which coming from the transmission.
