There was recently a good discussion on this exact subject on the twincam.org off topic forums.. you might wanna check that out:

Otherwise, there is a good collection of free aussie hiphop downloads on the obese records site. They are mainly just single tracks, but allow you to experience the artist and see what you like. You can go out and buy the cd then if you wish..
At the moment, I'm really into Pegz - he's been getting alot of airplay on triple j. So has Drapht and The Herd (previously mentioned) and both are becoming more and more popular. Some other decent artists include Lazy Gray, Terra Firma, Certified Wise (Hilltop Hoods Crew) Muph and Plutonic, Reason, Funkoars, Koolism, Bias B, Downsyde, Layla (if you like chicks) and Hyjak n Torcha. I also don't mind Down Under Beats Crew and the Winnie Coopers who were both unearthed by triple j..
Anyway, seek and you shall find.. support aussie hiphop!
