i'd say a aus spec ae86 would fall into this category.
Just show him a pick of the ae86 and tell him this
its a 1.6 litre sohc carby motor with a whopping 70hp (overestimated) 2 door corrola with a live rear end. Shitty interiour + rust and fair body and it will sell for 3 grand.
at this point his lower jaw should be on the floor.
or tell him about the 2000gt, sure their worth a fair bit more than a walkinshaw bomadore

a 2000GT would be >US$100k for a specimen fair condition (stock of course).
in mint condition (e.g. factory specs, concourse quality) double/triple it easily.
It's more likely that we'll all become astronauts before someone is stupid eough to list one on eBay. They only made 350 or so of these cars so to say they're rare is an understatement.

Or if you want really rare/expensive, try the 2000GT convertible. Only two were made, and both were used in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice. If one of them pops up for sale you're probably looking at more like $1 million plus.

Did TRD make any JZA70s or Ma70s? They'd be worth a bit.

Which model?
The ones that there's a couple of in Aus (just stepped out of one actually!) are only worth around $10k... Maybe slightly more since law changes.

A late-model V12 Century would definitely fit in the category of a really expensive Toyota. I don't know what they cost new but I would expect several hundred thousand dollars.

Man... my pants where a lot looser before I saw that.
That's a bit of an odd torque curve. :S Have these got VVTLi or something? :S

No, that's the real power figure. A short-stroke 5 litre V12 with a 48-valve DOHC valvetrain which goes like the clappers up to 4200rpm then mysteriously runs out of puff and makes no more power until redline. Absolutely plausible.

In Japan an MS41 sells for roughly $35000. Which VB Commode sells for the equivalent price?
