bloody kombi's Tue, 22 November 2005 01:51 Go to next message
Coming to work this morning driving along the single lane motorway between Maroochydore and Noosa, get to the bridge traffic is quite condensed. I see a truck up ahead which is usually the culp orate. Cruising down the motorway at between 60 and 70km/hr for the next 15kms until I finally got to see what was slowing everbody down. Some wanker in a bloody kombi was going slower than the truck? Had NSW plates on it so he was probably on holiday but FFS if you can't get anywhere near the speed limit on a single lane motorway, stay the fu(k away.

And if he was on holiday, he should have went the coast road and enjoyed the views anyway. Rolling Eyes

Basically, kombi drivers piss me off. Evil or Very Mad

I was driving my stock ke70 which doesn't have an external wastegate Sad

They finally went in the mystery third lane and I was driving right next to them in the lane. Flipped the bird and pissed off out of there. I wish my horn was louder!

And for those 60 seconds you have to listen to the terrible noise they emit.

they aint all bad, I occasionally get to drive my dads worked commo v6 powered kombi and it is so damn quick. Would pull hills at 150 km/h no problem, thats when aerodynamics take over and ruin the fun Razz

Bloody kombi's...

My brothers first car was 88 camry. One night we were coming home, I was in the passenger seat. Came up to a round about, half way around I notice a kombi coming straight at me at a good rate of knots. Bastard went straight into the side of the camry at about 70km/h by his estimations. Im still suprised how well the camry held up. Kombi driver thought he could drive brisbane-> cairns in one day, on his own.

The passenger side doors got pushed in about 15-20cm, the door got pushed flush against the passenger seat which got pushed into the centre console. Car was sold to a wrecker, who some how dodgy repaired it and got it back on the road.

That car was boring anyway, he just happened to be looking to get rid of it at the time.

As for the combi, slight bit of panel damage, bounced off and landed in a garden bed.
