W55 Gearbox <Now on Ebay> Thread Updated! Sat, 12 November 2005 04:53 Go to next message
Hey guys,
I have a W55 gearbox in good condition, came out of my SA63 with 2SC in it, so it never had much power going through it.

When i was driving the car it felt nice and tight and no syncros were worn and there were no noticeable problems. I can get photos if need be upon request.

I am asking $200 and i will probably sell the W to S bellhousing seperate.

I am located in Ballarat, Victoria, i will ship it if the buyer thinks its feasible.

Regards, Grant

Lol, isn't this an alloy sandwich plate Corona box. A supra W55 has a steel sandwich plate for the input bearing and can handle 300 + HP, this thing is gonna pop if they put it behind a decent engine. I should start putting em On ebay, you can get em for $200 at the wreckers, make heaps of cash.

All W5x's pre 1988ish had alloy plates.
All W5x's post 1998ish had steel plates.

Whether the steel plate is much stronger than the alloy plate is a topic of debate.
If it is stronger, its only very slightly stronger.
