3TGTE parts help Wed, 30 November 2005 23:13 Go to next message
Hey guys, after a gasket for the 3TGTE, it is circled in the following picture.

If anyone knows where I can get one, or has one available, please let me know.

Thats a tricky one.. The standard gasket kits around dont seem to include it. I always managed to salvage my old one and use some blue sealer on it.

I reckon my NZ mate could get one though if you are desperate.

Cheers
Joel

hey i was after the 2tgeu version of that gasket. i went into toyota and they couldnt get em anymore. \not even from japan. the guy said u can just use gasket paper and make your own on that section. i did so and its been working fine since (about 6 months). dunno if maybe a boosted motor would affect this. just run a film of gasket sealant aswell for that extra good seal.
cheers

I bought one from my local Toyota dealer (here in NZ) about 2 years ago. Took 3 weeks to arrive BUT it only cost me NZ$8.75. Shocked

Cheers guys for all your help and offers, will see if the mechanic looking at the car will be able to make one out of gasket paper otherwise I might have to chase one down somehow.

jackel, I have already tried Stewart Wilkins Motorsport and they couldnt track one down. Are you willing to part with the one you have in that pic?

Cheers,
Mitch.
