Hey anyone that wants to reply, i was wondering is there any cheaper way then coilovers to lower the Soarer? I went to my local suspension shop, and they said the only way to lower it is to put coilovers, in which he procedded to get me a price for TEIN Coilovers, supply and fit $1850.

Surely, there has to be lowered springs or something i can buy? Any help in this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also, i put on a turbosmart boost tee in hopesof cranking the boost upto around 11psi, but after we spent ages joining the actuator lines into the boost tee and whatnot, it still didnt work. Is there some sort of Overboost valve or something on the 1G-GTE to prevent it from raising the boost?

Thanks all...

about 2 - 3 pages ago Pulsar D00D i was asking the same thing about suspension ...

You have the option of KYB shocks and some Low King Springs or Lovells

But then once installed you have 1 set ride height if your not happy how low it is , or its too low , Tough shit no adjusting for you ...

thats why most suspension shops and even most lads in this thread reccomend Height Adjustable TEIN/CUSCO coilovers

so you always have the oppertunity to adjust the height/softness

in perth they are that price also ... guess we both just have to save Razz or win lotto Razz

Ahh, i dont care if its low, i just dont want it looking like a Forbie anymore. Any online shops where i can order these shocks springs?

If i win lotto, i'll buy you some coilovers as well.. Deal? Razz Razz Razz

Hi soarer owners,

I was seriously considering an MK2 Supra but was frustrated by lack of stock power(5ME), and expense of converting to a more powerful engine. Then I found the soarer! I am now thinking seriously of forgetting the supra and getting a soarer.(either z10 or 20) I need some info on the Z-10 and Z-20. I love the design of the Z10 more, but anyone tell me what engines came stock in the aus delivered Z10 and 20 respectivly?

also, any links to good soarer sites would be good ( cant find any!!!)

Andyroo, as far as I know they come with:
MZ10/MZ11/MZ12 - M-TEU engine
GZ10/GZ11/GZ12 - 1GGEU engine and maybe a 1GEU someone correct me if I'm wrong?

ok, ive managed to hook up a deal with a fibreglasser for $500 for a COMPLETE fibreglass bonnet (+ shipping of course) this is a bonnet with a full fibreglass frame underneath as well so no pesky removing of welds and stickaflexing on the frame to a fibre bonnet, this one involves unbolting of the old bonnet and bolting on the fibre one Smile, weighing in at about 8-10kg's definitiely an improvement on the stocker which is over 25kgs....

I need another 5 people to go in on this for him to go to the trouble of making a mould...I am in need of a bonnet so I would really like to do this soon...

pm me if youre keen Smile

might also be available with the funky vent I have situated on my current bent bonnet as I have to provide him a straight one...if I get him to make two moulds, one without the vent and one with then it might be another $50 or so bucks fot the vented one...that might be debateable tho...

but lemme know if youre keen on the $500 deal

as cool as one would be - theirs cheaper ways to loose 15 kgs, price is good considering the one on yahoo thats been for sale for ages - i suggest a carbon fibre sheet ontop might encourage more buyers for the an additional price

Z10 is the bomb bitches Razz

yeah as it has been said the GZ10's were only 1G-GEU and MZ10's were MTEU, and 5M-GE and 6M-GE i think, maybe a 7M although i doubt it.

Doesn't mean you can't upgrade it though, i put a 1G-GTE in mine and i am loving it, i know someone that has 1JZ'ed theirs and i am sure 7M's and the likes will drop into MZ10's.

my thread about my conversion.

http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=73011&prevloaded=1&rid=10142&S=873a1 c3792076df5101499b208f3651b&rev=&reveal=&a mp;start=0&count=60

PM me or add me to msn if ya want pics or to chat more. Personally i think the z20's are the nicest to be in but the Z10 will win hands down with a conversion, best thing is most of the turbo stuff will drop straight in.

I have also decided to become a soarer wiring fella since no one else seems to know and have since wired GTE's and 1JZ's into z20's and 20's, so i can let you know what you need.

all my seatbelts were changed for complience, except for the middle rear passanger seat. How this car is a 5 seater i dont know, i struggle to get 4 people in. Anyway i would think they have to be changed. Speak to your engineer before you go spending money on an older brown belt.

There aren't very many manual people who don't say this... I think the twins cause a funny bottle neck feeling which makes you feel your clutch is slipping as i have upgraded mine and i still think it slips Razz

all my seatbelts were changed for complience, except for the middle rear passanger seat. How this car is a 5 seater i dont know, i struggle to get 4 people in. Anyway i would think they have to be changed. Speak to your engineer before you go spending money on an older brown belt.

front seat belts dont need to be changed (in melbourne anyway) rob
as i got mine complianced with the stock front seatbelts only the rear ones were changed and child restraint anchors fitted as well

anyone be interested in a front bar, the one that goes with the factory kit in my avatar. Would let it go reasonably cheap, just wanna reduce the outlay if only by a little for buying the do luck bar which is gonna be over a grande. How come sometimes there is the option to upload photo's and other times there isn't?

There aren't very many manual people who don't say this... I think the twins cause a funny bottle neck feeling which makes you feel your clutch is slipping as i have upgraded mine and i still think it slips Razz

Maybe its just easyer to say, "man i may have lost but my car is still faster, if my clutch didn't slip i woulda won"

i could be wrong ..... (it'd be a first Razz )

how does 19km/hr in 1st at 6500rpm strike you? Very Happy

and i was just giving the ute a head start Rolling Eyes
