1.take off steering wheel
2.unscrew cluster (i cant remember where the screws are, i'll check tomorow)
3.pull cluster forwards, disconnect all guages and remove cluster.
4. reach in through hole and remove clips which fasten the dash pad. from memory they are about 20cm apart and look like little pins sticking down from the dash. the pins will have little clips on them, take these off.
5.lift up dash pad from the back so the pins come out of their holes.
6....
7.profit
chris
PS. i almost certainly left out something so be sure to look around carefully and dont start trying to force it out.

okay,
the screws holding in the instrument cluster are along the top edge of the cluster.
there is also a row of screws along the bottom of the dashpad that i forgot about.
you will need to take out the glove box. its not hard, just start unscrewing stuff.
you also need to disconnect the heater/fan levers, i reccomend taping these with masking tape and writing which bits connect to which other bits on the tape.
and while you're back there...
remove that stupid stocko radio speaker, all its doing is weighing your car down

There's four screws behind the heater/fan controls which are usually the most troublesome while getting the clusters out
