Celsior Tech Pages Mon, 18 July 2005 10:13 Go to next message
Hi guys, I have noticed that there are a few Celsior owners on Toymods, and thought I might as well post up some handy links to various websites that give information on Celsior/LS400 repairs and parts. If you own a Celsior, and need some general, or technical help check these out:

http://www.lexls.com/ "The Ultimate Lexus LS400 DIY Resource"

http://au.lexusownersclub.com/ "Australian Lexus Owners Club Forums"

http://www.cureline.net/lex/index.htm"Lexus LS400/Toyota Celsior Resource"

http://www.lextreme.com/tt.html "Twin Turbo LS400 and more"

http://lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ " Got a problem with a LS400 or Celsior, look here"

http://fabulous.co.jp"Body kits, +more+more+more"

http://www.autonetperformance.com/autonet.htm "American Parts/Accesory store"

http://strutmasters.com Strutmasters, a wonderful USA site where the Yanks solution to air suspension probs, is to revert to low tech, and install springs!!!

http://planetsoarer.com/ Scotty from Planet Soarer, lets you know how to go obout buying a Celsior!!!!

http://soarercentral.com Soarercentral, website will incorporate the Australain Lexus Soarer Club (ALSC), website, due to a critical failure of the ALSC server.

When was your Celsior built? http://framno.org/lite/

http://www.toyoland.com/lexus/ls430.html A short history of the LS range.

http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/toyota/celsior / All the specs you want, weight, size, capacities, etc.

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ls400.htm Another history lesson, thanks to Peter Scott, Planet Soarer.

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/ A lot of good information for forced induction, if you don't want to turbocharge.

PARTS FROM JAPAN www.f1kits.com

I have purchased a LEXUS WORKSHOP MANUAL on CD, so if anyone needs wiring diagrams etc, drop me a line.

I have ALSO purchased a US SPEC OWNERS HANDBOOK, which tells us what all the buttons and switches are for, again, drop me a line if you need to know something.

Many years ago, I purchased a full set of SOARER manuals, these contain heaps of wiring diagrams for: 1UZFE, 2JZ-GE, 2JZ-GTE, and 1JZ-GTE.
Happy motoring with the Celsiors guys.

Parts List:
Replacement bonnet struts: Monroe ML4412
Suspension bushes: Contact vlamos@bigpond.net.auI have used Andrew Vlamos's bushes in my Soarer, great product.
Air Conditioning system receiver dryer. Toyota Part No: T/8847116040

I will update with more info as it becomes available. Feel free to add your own links.

cheers Chuck.

Another link added, "Strutmasters".

There certainly are a few different body kits around.

That green one, looks like the picci was taken in Japan.

1200det, great to hear. What is the model code on yours?

New link added: When was your Celsior built? Just type in your frame No and your build date will be displayed. Can be used for most JDM cars, not just Celsior.

I have also started a parts list. If you have more, drop me a PM.

cheers Chuck.

Thanks for all the great info/links Chuck. Great job Smile

Maybe you or someone else can help me with the following -

I require 2 front suspension (left and right) upper control arms with the ball joints for a Celsior.

Lexus want approx $1100 each!

Would prefer to get them new at a cheaper price or even good 2nd hand ones.

Any leads will be most appreciated.

Theee is a guy by the name of Jeff Harper, he has a buying service, using the Japanese Yahoo auction site. Check here:
www.f1kits.com

If the link does not work, go to Soarer Central, and track him down through there.

Alternatively, try the japanese import wreckers in your area.

cheers Chuck.
