Hey guys..
i have a nissan radiator which came from an auto vehicle so it has the transmission cooler in the bottom endtank

What do u guys rekon

Could you plumb up the oil cooler lines to the radiator..

Would it be any good?

No. Unless you like oil leaking out of your engine like a sieve thorugh the radiator, in which case it'll be very good.

the fittings aren't designed for full-flow engine oil - but it might work for a cooling setup that just drains to the sump (e.g. low pressure) if it sits at the right height.

if it were mine, i'd remove the cooler from the lower tank to increase the volume of cool water at the bottom of the radiator.

Removing the o/c from the bottom tank will do stuff all to coolant capacity.

Plus if its a plastic tank,you cant plug the holes up.If its a brass tank,you can remove and solder a patch on the holes but the o/c is silver soldered on and a labour intensive job.In other words"leave it in"

Does your car have p/s?if so,run the p/s fluid through there.

I did this with a commodore radiator that I had in the soarer previously, worked a treat, makes more room for an FMIC when you remove the pesky PS lines that are convetionally for cooling also Smile
