Car hire in Japan

was wondering if it was possible to hire cars such as supra's/mr2's in Japan??? something with a bit of nuts...
anyone got any experience???

i was recently in Japan and there wasnt much available to hire in sedans let alone sports cars.

There probably are places, but unless you got mega dolla i wouldnt bother ....but as GEE120 said there isnt much in the way of car hire.
Besides its useless wanting to drive anywhere near one of japans major cities...the peakhour makes sydney peakhour a walk in the park.
Unless you REALLY want\need to drive i wouldnt recomend it...use public transport

thanks for the replies... i am actually in japan right now. had a Platz for a couple of days, but not much fun (tough to get it wound up!!)... met some very friendly police though. and got some pretty classy pics.
i think i'll just stick to shinkansen... they're a much faster ride! and i'm heading north anyway. no use for a fast car up there.
and it wasn't for in the city! a pushy is the ultimate vehicle in the city!!!

aaaahhhh!!!!
shinkansen, is very fast. For those that dont know that is the bullet train.
Hope your having a good time, i know i sure did.

is that the train when you keep looking out the windows at skyscrapers they appear way tilted when cornering?(that freaked me out)
