Aircon help Fri, 09 December 2005 06:12 Go to next message
I just finished installing my aircon system in my car, but if I tighten the compressor belt up so it would work the compressor will be rubbing on the radiator pipe when its on, so what can i do about this?
Any ideas?

cheers
chris

Wrap the radiator pipe in foam and let it rub.

Normaly on AE92, the compressor is fixed to the block via a bracket. The belt adjustment is done with a seperate pulley.

Car ST141 rona with 2s, i was just thinking of trying to find a shorter belt, but if i end up getting a new radiator soon then ill change the length of radiator piping, just dont want to fuck with the cooling system unless i have too.
With 2s belt tention is adjusted by the compressor set to a cetrain point.

Idler pully is in correct position.

Any other sujestions? or is that about it.

cheers
chris
