Hey Guys,
I bought a HKS TurboTimer Type-1 quite a while ago for a late model turbo car I had.
Im now wanting to use the timer in a AE86, the timer function works fine but I would like to get the digital speedo working... I think I need to install a speed sensor as the speedo is a cable driven one, any ideas people?

You can get little "jiggy" things that go in line with the speedo cable which is basicly a switch that turns on and off when the cable turns! I have no idea where you get these from I have one here though

Try Revolution Racegear.
Tell them you want a Terratrip japanese gearbox probe. This is a sender for rally tripmeters. It's about 20mm deep, and is sandwiched between your gearbox and the speedo cable. No need to cut the cable, etc. You simply unscrew the speedo cable from the gearbox, screw the Terratrip probe onto the gearbox, then screw the speedo cable onto the Terratrip probe.
Dead easy - 2 minutes.
