All.

Not really a tech question as such, but, there is a box next to the oil filter on the 2T - its in line with the camshaft - and has a vent hose which goes from the box to the inlet manifold.

WTF is it?

you can just see it at the right of this photo, sorry but its big (the photo) : http://www.vncommodore.com/images/celica/22.jpg

where does the orange hose plug into - it could be the breather that rods been looking for - on my 2t's and 2tbs - theyve never had one of these - and on the 2tb - ive just pluugged the hole up with a second oil pressure sender thing .. Doesnt seem to effect the old girl

Id say its got something to do with crankcase breathing or emissions

its all got to do with ventilation - how it helps im buggered if i know ..

you can tell the riceboys its a secondary air filter - makes a good 20 HP extra !

waste of time IMHO - take it off - and put a breather on the top one like mine - install your webery goodness - cam the bastard - and have a hella strong 2t !
