ST165 GT4 - price/where?

Does anyone know what the typical price is for the ST165 GT4? I couldn't find the car in Redbook.com.au so I have no idea of the average selling price. Also, where the hell do I try and find one of these?

it can range anywhere from $8,000 to $15,000
you'll have to go through a jap car import company or some shit
i have seen a couple for private sale but very very fuckin rare
there was one resently for sale at prestige motorsports, dunno if its still there or not

They quoted me $8k and up for a ST165, I couldn't get rid of the ST162 to get one though, (anyone interested????). I might post it one day.

Thanks guys, I'll give them call and see what they say. I am seriously thinking about selling my ST162 Cabriolet to semi fund the purchase of a GT4 (maybe an ST185 if I have to). Only problem is I don't know how much I can sell my car for....

There is actually one for sale in Unique Cars magizine this month at an import yard in Brisbane, it's on page 191 I thinks its Springwood Auto Imports.
He is looking for about 12 grand from memory. Trying to talk the wife into driving to Brisbane to look at it. I reckon they are the ultimate sleeper. Everyone thinks normal FWD celica and boom your gone leaving them at the lights with a dropped jaw

I have decided not to consider the purchase of this car. 165Kw is just not enough for the cost. May my tongue turn black and fall off for saying it, but a VL Turbo would be much better value, and a lot cheaper. An ST205 is the GT4 to get, but I suppose the ST185 would do quite nicely as well. Also got to consider that the ST165 is more than 15 years old.

i doubt it still be there unless its still sitting at an auction yard in japan. contact geoff@prestigemotorsport.com.au, 1988 model st165's are availble under the 15yr import rule now. it will cost about $9500 for a decent one.

Also what exactly needs doing on it.
Colour inside and out also would be appriciated.
