the maxium effeciecy i would say would be around 16 -17 psi as the mr2 94 + use the ct20 at 13 psi standard... its a hybrid turbo, they are not half bad the intercooler would be much better for it and may rase the effienciey up another pound. with the intercooler u will feel the boost at its peak constantly if mounted in the right position. again depending on the core and size of the cooler.!

The Toyota CT20 turbo is used on the 3TGTE, 4TGTE, and 22RTE engines in the 80’s but this will not bolt on the 3SGTE manifolds, the CT20B is the Toyota Gen III 3sgte turbo and the CT26 as most know is the Gen II 3sgte turbo. IMHO the CT26 is good to about 13,14 psi, the CT20B boosts 13 psi STOCK and is good to about fuel cut which is about 18 psi, on a nice cold night Im happy to boost a bit higher than 18 psi on the CT20b but not in normal temps...not without an aftermarket ic. Im unsure what the CT20 from the 80's is like but no where NEAR as capable as the 2 3sgte turbos
