1JZ GTE Igniter wiring

I am wiring my engine for a Wolf ECU, And can't quite work out the igniter wiring.
The wiring I am chasing is:
Blk/Brown I think this is 12V
Wh/Blk I think this is earth
Blk with silver spot from the small plug No idea
Rd/Yell Labelled is IGF1 on the Toyota wiring. From ECU
direct to igniter. No idea
The coil wiring is OK, and the ignition in seems ok as well. The digram I got from my previous post covered these. The ones above I think Toyota assumed it was so obvious that there was no need to mention them. I also assume that the coils are direct fed 12V on one side, and the igniter supplies earth on the other.

If anyone's got wiring for a 2jzgte ignitor (if it is different that is), I'd love to know too!

Not quite, what I meant was that the 6 inputs to the igniter to fire it are OK, as are the 6 coil outputs. The drawings in the tech page tell me just about everything, except what the hell is the IGF wire do. It sort of looks like it has a resistive 5 volts behind it. The Wolf ECU has nothing like it. I am trying to find out if it does something important or not. It could be a part of the diagnostic system that reports a fault back to the ECU.

to my understanding, IGF is the ... *ruffles through the numerous wiring diagrams* ignition on the fuel pump ... I'm not 100% on that, but it sits right next to the fuel pump relay wire, so it made sense to me.
sorry, "ignition on +12" is it's technical name, but it connects to the fuel pump

According to http://tar.home.sprynet.com/page6.html, which I have just been looking at, IGF is ignition fail, which is an acknowledgement that ignition has occured. If the ECU doesn't see this, it stops supplying fuel to the motor. In my case, I will leave this unconnected, as the Wolf doesn't care about IGF, it just keeps pumping fuel, and assumes that the ignition event has occurred.

hrm
you just saved me a wiring hassle or two
I was wondering about that, why a +12v connection would be labelled as anything else

We shall see how it goes. I have wired everthing up as best I can. It was a lot of stuffing about to make sure that I had the Crank Sensor and Cam sensor connect with the right polarity, as the wiring used in my engine didn't line up with the various diagrams on the internet. I am just about to fire up the laptop and the ECU, and see what happens. If I see smoke you'll hear me in Sydney.

would be good to hear how it goes.
I've got an ltx12 to wire up soon, so I can pump you for the polarity of the crank angle sensor

Not a problem. I will put a diagram and the base and full map on my website after the race meeting. I can't understand why Wolf don't do this for all the information they are sending to people. It would save them a lot of time and trouble I would think.
If you want to know bits an pieces before then, give me an email on jbrough@telstra.com.
I hope my car is down to the mucking around bits now. I have a week and a half to get it pumping before we have to pack up and head to the annual DLRA speedweek meeting in Sth Australia. If I can't get it done, I miss out till next year.

My engine is now running, so if anyones interested in using a Wolf ECU, I have a wiring plan and a base map to start with.

The crank sensor is wired so that it curves negative, then has a sharp rise to positive, then curves back to zero. The yellow is the one that I fed into the computer, and the red was connected to the earth in the ignition loom. On the other side of the connector, red becomes BL/Green, and Yellow becomes Bl/Yell. I don't know why this would be, maybe I am not using the right connector. On the TPS, I used Brown, Yell and Bl/Red. The red I left disconnected. It seems to be a position switch that is used to detect a position for some reason. For some reason I didn't write down the cam sensor polarity. I will sort that out tomorrow, perhaps.
