I'm looking into picking up an ODB reader for my 91 4Runner, anyone have any tips on what to expect? What features should I look for?

What else might I need to use it that they won't mention on the box, such as companion books or code info?

Any gotchas I need to be aware of?

Any discussion boards or FAQ's anyone knows of on the web?
