Do you want Forced induction or N/A?

Simon,
For a dollars to horsepower winner and ease of conversion I wouldn't think you could go past a 4AGZE front cut.

as talked about the other night, 4agze front cut will get you everything you need. Pedals and everything!! It should be a relativly straight forward conversion. Weekend sorta stuff with a few sets of hands.

carful with that one darola don't want to spark up another gze vs 20v war again lol
man i have no expirience with these engines but i personnaly like the idea of simular power figure out of a na insurance and reliability ect i'd mabey go for a ride in a simular car with the diferent engines and make up your own mind if you go 20v keep in mind thats roughly it but with the gze its quite easy to go nuts on
guyz question.....3sgte would it be possible???

Good Choice Simon... I drove a 20V on the weekend, and I think mine has more manly goods down low than a 20V... But like a Vtec, get it up high and the thing goes into warp factor. Where are you doing the Conversion? I'll be in to give a hand.

This was an import levin, weighs about the same as Simon's car, I have to say mid to high 7's 0-100... felt the same as my Brother VTi-R. Talk to me in a few weeks as I'm considering buying it and has a lot of potential to do better... An LSD would be a good start... Still lacks the low end grunt of a ZE, but a 1.8 bottom will fix it to and extent.

from what I've heard, the GZE is apparently a little bit quicker stock (I wouldn't think a whole second), and has more potential for modding
anyone know for sure?

Sounds right, would be more responsive to the usual exhaust boost options like a turbo car. The 20V on the other hand would suit you if you like to ring the neck out of your car. I think someone said "on a track the the 20V would have it on the GZE but on the street the GZE would munch it"

1 second sounds about right. That's over the quarter though...
On the freeway, starting at 110km/h, the 20V should walk away from the GZE.
The GZE has the better low end and is good for the traffic light GP. The 20V has an awesome top end.

my gze ate a new prelude VTiR last night...
and i know he was pushing it hard cause it was my mates car!
i beat him and stopped at 170 ... he was still behind me
i'd love to give a 20v a run.....

Troy, what I meant was a run starting from 110km/h...
But I'll try to convince Pete20V to bring the 20V AE82 back out for a little thrash. The bastard has been paying very little attention to his Rolla recently, mainly due to the GSX-R750 that's in the garage now... You can give that a run too if you're game....

Meanwhile - I've convinced Pete into letting me take his lil' 20v for a spin some time to see how I like the power delivery..

You'll want to put a Nevo Pulley on it to up the boost. Might want to get the suspension and handling sorted as well.
