anyone ... anyone...

1) do they use the same shims?? they use the same OD buckets, so im wondering if they use the same shims- 7m shims are 25mm dia and are in the range of ~3mm thick.

2) what is the smallest thickness shim available? im after as close to 2mm thick as possible.

My Hanes Corolla manual has a little table of available shims & thicnesses, & thinest is a number 02, which is 2.500mm.

could you machine them thinner? surely the surface hardening is only critical on the side that contacts the cam lobe?
