Microtech ECU's? Tue, 25 February 2003 00:12 Go to next message
Hey, this is a question for the Microtech people, I'm not doing anything about it, but I am curious.

What is the difference between the LTX series and the MTX series? I know the LTX is newer, but what is better about it? I was just thinking, everyone bags the Microtech for its fuel economy and lack of resolution, but then again, every review I've seen is for the MTX series, so I'd say thats what they are basing it on.

I just noticed that SUPRAGTE uses a LXT8, and he is one of Microtechs biggest advocates, so maybe you could best explain it Smile

Thanks,
Nathan

The LTX-8 is the laptop programmable one, the MTX-8 can nly be adjusted with the hand controller. So I guess it's just better programming software.
I'm interested to find out though. Maybe I should get the upgrade....

Yes, LTX is laptop tunable plus you can tune in matrix format of each on the rpm & load points. i.e. much better tuning resolution. Plus it has extra features such as 3D mapping and ECU data logging. My 20v Trueno runs one.

So what's the deal, if you don't want a laptop it's only 100 bucks???
