From what I can recall( not much these days) is the stick on the intake side of the block at the front of the block?,

Did you get supplied with the dip stick? if so check it with the original and see if it is the same.

I had a problem with the hilux where I swap the blocks and the stick hit the windage tray in the hilux sump. drilled throw windage tray and it was fine.

Also check the pick-up is in the right place in the sum!

good luck
Shane

There are several locations for the dipstick, depending on whether it's a front sump or mid sump engine. Obviously you've swapped sumps so you'll need to move the dipstick to suit. I can't recall if you have to drill out the block to do this, but you should be able to see the spot where it's meant to go.
