FWD/4WD Celica Swaybars Wed, 26 February 2003 01:18 Go to next message
Has anyone had their swaybars upgraded on a ST16x or later Celica?
I'm looking at doing it to my car, but would to get feedback on sizes that upgraded to.
ie how much of a difference.

Cheers

Whiteline suspension do a whole tuned kit for the St185 - for about 1500 dollars

They have all the bits you need - check out their site !

www.whiteline.com.au i think - or search for it

Whats it for specifically ? They also have a big write up on handling for the st185..
They have a way too undersized rear bar that make sthe back end handle like shit - hence why its going in my car asap !

Hope that helps !

My car has the same basic running gear as the ST20x Celicas, but these come we don't have many of these in the club, except for GT4s, which handle well already.

I've already had whiteline do the Struts & springs, & will be taking to them to make the swaybars.
My rear one is completely unique to my car, and considering I don't have a rear bar at all at the moment, there should be a big difference.

my theory on suspension is to prefer to have softer springs to soak up bumps with stiffer swaybars for cornering. Considering my car runs on diesel, acceleration isn't my highest priority.

I just want to find out from others whether they found the uprated bars good enough.
