1g-fe Head gasket seals Wed, 26 February 2003 01:27 Go to next message
Im trying to find aftermarket head gaskets seals for my IS200.
As im putting in forged pistons into my car I require new seals to install when i put the engien back together. Currently im quoted $900 from Lexus.

Does anyone know where i can get some at a cheaper price? and what other 1g engines seal would fit into the IS200?
Thankyou.

I was ringing City Lexus in Melbourne for some related stuff and happened to ask the boys there for you.
A full VRS kit for a 1GFE was $670 + GST. In a VRS kit you get all the seals you need if you were going to tear down a head. I suspect a head gasket alone will be significantly less, maybe 300 (which mind you is exorbitant), but much less than $900.

hey thanks!
I don't think i need a head gasket coz the forged pistons are 8.5:1 ratio. All i need is the seals. Thanks again. .I'll go down to Lexus of Melbourne, or Brighton later on.
