New member with a few questions?? Wed, 26 February 2003 01:48 Go to next message
Hi All,

I purchased a 4AGZE Sprinter last week. I don't have a manual for this engine. I am wanting to replace the fluids and don't know the capacities. Could someone tell me what the oil capacity with filter is? Is the oil filter the same as the 4AGE? What is the coolant capacity? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cheers,

Cal.

Oil capacity with an oil cooler is 3.7L, without is 3.3L. Just check the dipstick as you do it, then after you've run it for a bit then check it for the noxt day or 2.
Coolant capacity is supposed to be about 6L, but that's if it still has the stock radiator. But the same applies to this, run it & check it a couple of times then check it for the next few days.
BTW, this is all for 4A-GE, but I'm 99.999% sure they are the same as ZE. I can't see the coolant capacity changine unless it's got a bigger radiator, which doesn't apply to you anyway as you'r radiator isn't the standard ZE one anyway, & oil capacity would only change with sump capacity, & I havn't heard of this being any different.
Either way you can't go wrong if you keep checking it all.
