Not much. Pull the plenum off, ring finer filters and they should have the sock your after.

Are the 20V map sensored? or air flow?

if map you no longer have the plenumn chamber to gauge manifold pressure. If air flow you still need the plenum chamber to gauge the air flow through. I think you will find most factory engines running trumpets will use a plenum for these reasons. So you will need to factor in a aftermarket computer to tune from the throttle sensor as the manifold pressure reading will become less than accurate, and gauging air flow without a plenum would be difficult.

Unless the 20v already uses throttle position to map the fuel injectors? I highly doubt it they plenum chamber is not just there for its good look Smile

Depends, The very late model silvertop& balcktops run a map, early models have AFM, so you right, can't remove the plenumn, aftermarket ECU would be the only way.

A MAP sensored motor would be ok with no plenum, as the vacuum isn't in the plenum, it's on the other side of the throttle plates.
