It shouldnt be a problem but for what reason are you wanting to do it. Generally wider will give you better grip/performance but there are some situations that a narrower tyre is better.

Apparently the reason why finland produces such top quality rally drivers are the slick driving conditions they learn to drive on...how i envy them
I'd love to be a rally driver....hrmmmm going sideways around a hairpin turn at about 100km\h

Driving on the snow with RWD Toyota is great fun but that fun ends normaly after new year or something. Till about new year normaly roads are covered with snow, that snow is evenly slippery and smooth but now roads are more like offroad track. There are huge ice blocks every where and normaly there where you least expect them . Roads are extremely rough. We have saying: Like driving on a potato field. I may say that hits the nail on the head this time of year.
BTW. I have super sexy Michelin ms200 165/70r14 now rolling under my car but those work just fine right now.

Just grab some KE30-70 wheels+155s from the wreckers and bolt those on for an afternoon of fun, even a 4K can crack a burnout on those things. Either that or play with your car a little so you can have some fun on the 185s!
