rwd 4agze (map) air intake manifold 4 turbo conversion

i know in japan sprinters came with 4age rwd intake manifolds but its hard to get hold on one of these so ppl usually do some cut n welding i want to know what intake manifold fits on my 4agze its map and from an ae-92
do i use the large port or small port and how to convert it to rwd does anyone do this in sydney? does anyone have any info on how to cut where to cut from and what to take in mind etc thanx

You need the 100kW intake manifold, which only comes in FWD anyway, basically you chop a hole on the opposite end to the current throttle body, get a flange welded over the hole, bolt the throttle body to the new flange & bolt & seal a plate over the old TB flange.
Keep in mind bonnet clearance, the TB on RWD 4AGE manifolds angles down a bit to clear the bonnet.

I've got one you can buy, although it was actually done for a gasresearch throttle, not a toyota one. However, a ford/holden TB should fit, and be a lot easier to make work with aftermarket management as well.

tb = throttle body
lots of people put the big port 4age head on the gze cos it flows better and you could then use the RWD manifold from the jap spec 4age
just another option

so whats better small port intake manifold or large port can both of these be used or only the small port can be used on the 4agze

as far as im aware the gze is small port so you would only be able to run the small port intake, im sure there would be ways to run the bigport one but id say it would require custom stuff and not worth it.

I'v bought 2 4AGZE motors and both are large port and the rwd manifold bolts straight on , It was bolted into a AE86 and turboed , all rwd mounts and accessories bolt on .

4AGZE's come as both small + large port - AW11 MR2 and early (AFM) ae92 ones are big port, the MAP sensed later AE92's and AE101's are small port. I've got the manifold left over from my original motor when I broke it and replaced with a big port version. I'll also soon have the big port manifold I made myself so sale, as I'm fitting multi throttles to mine now. If anyone's interested, PM me.

is there anyway of telling what your ze came out out, i got told by looking at your spark plug leads which mine says 91 so does that mean its from a ae-92 91 model trueno? if so then is this a small port or large port but im guessing its a small port because the guy did tell me its a map but how can u b sure?

Easy.
Look at the head (big or small ports) or look at the block for the external oil drain.
