Was coming home from work the other day and i thought i saw a ke70 with a slightly odd front end. as i went past it i had a better look and saw tercell written on the side and it had a wierd hatch type ass end with really wierd lights as well., does anyone know anything about these. eg engine, driveline and layout eg ff,fr, or 4wd?

The front end was somewhere inbetween ke70 and t18 and the thing wasnt a wagon and not quite a sedan almost looked like it belonged on a 50 series corolla(i think the ones that had the 2t in them??) i'd almost put money on it not being injected.

its just wierd cos i'd never seen a tercell this early before. it looks to be a good 3-4 years earlier than the 4wd tercel and i cant find anything else out about them on the web.. only that there was a model called the AL11 which was from 79-83 but i cant find any pics and cant remember the address for that site that has all of the different model toyotas pictured on it.
Has anyone else seen it(the site)?
or can anyone shed light onto the AL11

It's basically a 4WD Corolla wagon with an A-series engine. Drivelines are supposed to be a bit weak... but I'd say if you're fairly nice to it then a 4AGZE would be a cool conversion.
