icon4.gif  ta22 exhaust question Tue, 04 March 2003 10:01 Go to next message
heya guys, i want to run my exhaust out in front of the rear wheel on the passanger side, cause i want to get a 2.5 inch stainless system, and its so much cheaper to get it dumped out the side in front of the rear wheel, then have them bend and make it go over the diff. Also what about the distance from the exhaust to the nearest opening window, will i have issues with registration and deffects.
Cheers
justin

You can not do this in QLD, dont know anout NSW though. You can have it exit the drivers side though.

Yes i think it has everything to do with pedestrians. Maybe there is a way around this but I cant figure it out. I wanted to do this exact same thing.

yes thats true

i had a xu1 torana with a 3inch dump on the side just in front of the rear wheel cos of the window regulation and that was damn loud

if you made it in front of the front wheel...LOL

have you ever heard a 2tg idle with just extractors ?....well my neighbours have, just ask the local police they came over to give me a violation of acceptable level of noise notice
