supercharger pulleys? Tue, 04 March 2003 23:05 Go to next message
does any one know if aftermarket pulleys are avaliable in either stock, or smaller size to replace the magnetic clutch (which is stuffed) on my sc12 supercharger, im looking for a fixed pulley to replace the magnetic clutch as i run my charger full time anyway. thanks.

Freak as far as i know to get a s/c pulley itself you will need to either make one (fixed) or buy another blower...
sorry dude.. Sad
when i had my old one apart the spline was differnt to a aircon one, but not sure if you could match a aircon clutch from the wreckers??
the s/c are prity cheap now...

speedchaser does an under size sc pully that goes bloody well from all acounts. this is a fully re-manufactured unit and does not suffer from the "turbo" effects of the larger crank boost wheels ( it's smaller thus reduces rotational inertia rather than biger and increasing it ).
here's a link
http://www.speedchaser.net/small_pulley.htm

also running the sc all the time, .... well I'd be buying a couple of spare engines and sc's to do that.

you would need to check with speedchaser. He mainly deals with the US, but I think it was around 250 usd plus shipping for the pully. His email addy is at the bottom of the web page.
Nice chap too.

The us mr2 forum is his usual hangout. I think he is in malasya or indonesia.
his turbo mod build up is pretty good too. Just click on home and see.

you could get a pulley made for less than that! shit, even buying a old s/c would be cheaper! that's like $AU325 PLUS freight...what a rip!
