Hey guys, Ive got an AE92 Levin 4AGE Small Port Red Top.
It a tough little motor, revs consistantly to 8,500 without complaining... a little oil loss but i understand that is a little normal for those things at high revs....
The only modifications the engine has is a K&N air filter, it also has no emisions sensor (is this good or bad?) and a straight pipe replacing the cat....
What i am asking is i plan to do this engine up, no turbo for insurance resons... but i want to get as much as i can out of it....
my thoughts were cold air box, decent extractors, possibly cams,
all of this after a full recondition of course.
Any suggestions? i would be really keen to get it revving high.... but general suggestions would be much apreciated...
also... is it possible to convert this chassis to rwd? and is there anything i can do to upgrade the stock suspension while keeping the TEMS.?

My only suggestions would be to make an alloy air box with atleast 6 1/2 inch piping comoing straight from the underneath the battery or as far away from the engine as possible!
you could even mabye re do the head to gain more pressure which would inturn create more revs and power!

Hey mate, you sound like the guru i need to talk to.... i plan to get the
engine reconditioned and re built as the first step.... may as well start off
on the right foot.... and ive been fanging it around for a few years so itll
probably need it.... what would you do to the head to increase compression and
rpm? what about flywheels, cams etc... any ideas? (sorry for all the questions
but you sound in the know)
