Thanks,
Mitch.

it would help if you could consider if the bell-housing might also fit other engine series with little/no modification. for example how much extra effort to get it to fit S series block??. have a think about it. i could then be a candidate. All my experiences with dellow housings is they are often either not square or centralised, or both. be careful!!

Terry, WX to "S" engines. If you need one for sure, I have one in the garage, yours for a $100.00.
Yes I have heard a lot of reports about Dellow, hence the decision to cast my own. I have a genuine Toyota JZ bellhousing that will be used as the master, and if they are not up to scratch, they will be rejected, quality control is what it is all about.
MX83 were you piss^^D when you read the intro thread?, or have we spoken about another bellhousing sometime?, because at the moment I will be casting 10 new bellhousings.

MX83, Yeah 50 plus, got the same prob. So I guess you could be interested in a bellhousing for the Cressie.
C'mon guys I need some numbers otherwise, I will have to bite the bullet and buy a Dellow Dodgy.

I guess I'm kinda interested (1JZ into MA-61). It'd be a lot easier just to buy a 2JZ box - complete with bellhousing if I can find one.
As a last resort - I mighyt go for a new fabbed bellhousing.

Hi there Justin, JZA80 with 2JZGE's, the W58 boxes are in fairly limited supply, it took me 5 months to get one.
JZA80's with 2JZGTE's are fitted with the R154 (Toyota best 5 speed) box, worth about $2000.00 if you can find one.
These are some of the reasons I wish to cast up some JZ to WX bellhousings.
Regards Chuck.

thats arguable. They break just as often as the W58 behind
500+hp/500+ft lbs. Several people on the MKII Supra and SOGI
lists complain about both trannys. Some don't have any probs.
Some swear by the W58 some by the R154...
The 2JZGTE's here in the state came with Getrag-6spd or autos.
No 5spds behind the 2jzgt's

Yes, I think you will find that our friend here is on crack. All manual 2JZGEs came with W58 5 speed boxes and all manual 2JZGTEs came with the V16x 6 speed boxes.
The 6 speed is a Getrag box, far far stronger than the R154 (which IMO is a piece of cr@p and indeed weaker than a W58) and in fact arguably the strongest OE box available. There are many many cars running 10's on these boxes in full-weight Mk4 Supras and indeed I think there may be one or two that run into the 9's. I would suggest at this point you'd probably be breaking them left right and centre anyway.
Depending on where you look most of these boxes can be had cheaply.. I've bought a few W58's for under $400.. teed up an R154 for a mate for $900, sold my completed R154 conversion for $1500... and put a mate onto an importer that sold him a 2JZ/6sp half cut for $6000.

Geeez guys! sorry, I was thinking Soarer 1JZGTE fitted with R154 box.
Prices vary depends on where you are, and where you shop.
Anyhow, I have now contracted the bellhousing work out to the foundry and machine shop, the price is now SET @$350.00.
Now is the time to place orders, I will of course bring a couple with me to the Toyota Nationals at DUBBO.

OK, I know its not really what you want to hear. But, if I can't find a complete W-58 & all clutch componants - I'll get one of your bellhousings.
cheers,
Justin

I'll probably get flamed for this, but have you considered doing a bell housing to suit a 1UZ-W58??

Hi guys the bellhousings should be ready around the 15th April.
One project at a time!, however if there is a need for 10 X W58 to 1UZFE. I am sure they can be arranged.
