not necessarily
apparently there was a bit of a demand for MA71 turbo models so there were a few 7M-GTE's going out of the factory in MA70 chassis', keep and eye on the VIN plate.
other than options and trim i doubt there'd be any difference

I'm fairly sure that the Australian delivered MA70 was not available with the 7MGTE, however the jap model was.
The Australian MA71 has heaps of differences to the Australian MA70 though - the main two being that the MA70 comes with f_cked looking tail lights (MA71 comes with better tail lights and a matching centre panel)... and that the MA70 comes with an ugly front bar (MA71 comes with a 'splitter' kinda thing in the front that looks heaps better)
There are also some half breeds in between that are known as MA71's but have the MA70 engine mounts (most 89- MA71's have the same engine mounts as the JZA70, where as the '88 MA71's and all MA70's came with the original 7M mounts. A few minor differences in interior, dash arrangements, etc.
Note that all imported MA7x's come with orange front park lights and that many also come with yellow fog lights.
