4AGZE into a TA22 Fri, 07 March 2003 07:04 Go to next message
after earlier failure to find information on commodore engines into celicas i have decided on something more practical and engineerable. I'm sure it goes in I was just wondering if any one knew of a company that sells a kit or a web site that explains all the mods i need to do.

Also should i use a sprinter RWD engine or is it not hard to change the FWD to RWD?

Last but not least does tho 20valve have the same bottom end/ block/ head bolt holes? are they compatible to each other?

all info will be much appreciated

You wanted to do WHAT?!?!?!?!?
Please please please tell me that's a joke!

Like cool said, check out the Toymods tech section, an article there on putting a 4AGE into a TA22 & another on converting a ZE to RWD.

Who would want a nice worked 3.8L supercharged VR motor in a small little celica?

project will be looked at later in life.

Sorry - but even I can see that a holden motor in a celica is sacralige.. Those 3.8's are rough rattly underpowered pieces of buick poo anyway - theres much better 6's out there to play with - like the 1ggte - Syline RB's , and of course the M series toyota and J series toyota blocks ..

Hmms - now thats a thought - GTS/R skyline motor in a celica ?

Id prefer a 1G ( smaller lighter etc ) buuut Smile

with that conversion you could even say its a VL turbo celicadore if you still need your holden fix ! Confused

for a ta22 anyway - there is no better and more practical conversion than the 3tgte if you want power that doesnt fuck up the handling of the car, and on a more financially burdoning scale the 3sgte Celica Gt4 motor
