Hey all,
im just turning 18 n am lookin to buy a car to in a couple of years, have it in show quality condition. Now i would like to know what i should do, im thinking of puttina a 4A-GZE into it, but some on here have said there are better options. Now insurance is gonna be tough on a supercharged car let alone a turboed car so dats y i thought supercharged. WOuld it be better buying a stockie and doing the conversion, or would it b worth looking into a car wid a 18r or the likes that has been worked?
thansk for your help, its greatly appreciated

Buy a stock and do the job yourself! Fit a 4A-GE and save on the insurance.

depends on if ur gonna get full comprehensive or just 3rd party property 3rd party should be ok but a conversion of any kind turbo or not and full comprehensive don't go together if ur under 25
as far as I know there would be no difference between supercharged and turbo charged.

There is no difference at all. And being 18 if you go for full comp, you'll be hit about $1000 with a stock 2T!

4As are girl's motors.
Use a T, R, or S series motor in your TA22.
3T-GTEU and 18R-G are easy swaps. They're getting rare though. 3S-GTE is an awesome swap, but hideously expensive.
If you buy an RA23/TA23, then you can just pop a 1G-GTE in.

If the engine code has an 'E' in it, it means that the engine is electronically fuel injected. check the articles section for more info.

Yeah, have a read of this: http://www.toymods.org.au/engine_codes.html
The 3T-GTEU, 1G-GTE, and 3S-GTE are all EFI.
If you want an EFI 18R, then there is the 18R-GEU. Doesn't make as much power as the 18R-G though due to all the emissions crap hanging off it.
