Engine Check Light Problem

AS above,
4AGE (88kw)into Sprinter, everything is good execpt the engine light keeps on coming on, got the mechanic to have a look, its the o2 sensor, so i changed it and it still comes on, since i changed the sensor the motor runs a lot smoother, but when im sitting on 90 - 100kms the light comes on.
Is there anything else it could be.

check the codes
if its stil the o2 sensor then it might not have power to it
but u said it runs better now with new sensor so might be a new error code in the ecu
disconnect the battery for 30 secs, this erases any old codes in the ecu, then road test and when the light comes on again check the codes
post me what codes it flashes if u dont know them and i can try to tell u how to fix them

Idles erraticly between 900rpm and 1100rpm, just up and down when warm. Faults codes are 5 flashes, pause 5 flashes.
Plus there was also a second code, 9 flashes, pause 9 flashes.
I believe 5 pause 5 is a oxy sensor fault related to lean mixtures. But the light only comes on when trying to keep at a constant speed over 70-75kms.
Can someone help me to understand all this stuff

was the motor using a japaneese computer? , cause i assume it is and when i did my first 4age conversion i found that the check light was going crazy, ie always on due to no speed sensor being detected, the jap computer controls the 180kph speed cut, thus i delt with this by installing a switch on the light and would check it quite often but after checking i could turn it off, ok sounds dodgy but no body else could tell me what to do way back then
is the oxy sensor multi wire or just a single wire?
the erratic idle can usually be put down to a dirty throttle boddy ,try giving it a good clean (ie take it off the car) this solved the hunting problem in my 4age.

Its only a single wire i believe.
I wouldnt suspect the throttle body to be dirty, the motor was rebuild about 3 mths ago, perhaps the TVIS is faulty, or hooked up wrongly.

if your positive that the throttle body is clean (including all internal passages) there may be a vacuum leak from a pipe on the t/b , also check that the line to the map sensor is not blocked/or has a hole in it and then check the adjustment of the TPS, i may be wrong but i wouldn't expect the t-vis (even if incorrectly installed) to be respnsible for an erratic idle, nfortunatly my book of error codes has gone missing so i cant confirm what the error code is, hopefully some-one else can help here.

Im not saying that im positive about the throttle body is clean, im not running any power steering or air/co but these holes have been plugged up but i guess it wouldnt hurt to check.
5 flashes pause 5 flashes pause, according to my book, means the o2 sensor is sensing a lean mixture, but im so sure what could be causing this, HAS ANYBODY any idea what it might be.
