workshops in melbourne? Sun, 09 March 2003 01:38 Go to next message
Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a good workshop in melbourne that really know their stuff about older Toyota Engines? Namely the 2T-GEU. Very Happy.

I would like to go to a place where they can look at my engine and tell me exactly what i need to do to bore it out, or even add forced induction.

I know the theory and methods for increasing displacement, but with no real mechanical experience i wouldn't wanna break anything Smile. But ideally, i would like to do all the work myself to save money plus also learn a few things.

thanks!

So why do you want the name of a workshop?

Anyway, try IDB Automotive in Richmond. They specialize in twin cam Toyotas.

i guess i need some advice first. and someone with some knowledge to have a good look at the engine.

I'm keen to do it all myself if it's just a matter of unbolt this and bolt this on here.
